3rd Roundtable Meeting of the MuFHE Halal International Community Held in Bangkok 

We are delighted to share the successful conclusion of the 3rd Roundtable Meeting of the MuFHE Halal International Community, held on December 18, 2024, at the prestigious Hilton Bangkok Grande Asoke. This gathering was a pivotal milestone in advancing global collaboration and alignment within the halal ecosystem.

Key Highlights of the Meeting:

The roundtable focused on the future of the Global MuFHE Technology, Trade, and Marketplace Ecosystem, emphasizing the significance of the Universal Standard Organization (USO) and the Global Halal Assurance Protocol (GHAP-2020). Discussions aimed to: 

  1. Strengthen the governance framework for a unified ‘Deemed’ Halal Assurance Standard. 
  1. Promote collaboration among halal certification bodies, industry leaders, and policymakers. 
  1. Finalize roles and responsibilities for global and regional advisory boards.

  1. Governance and Strategic Direction: 
    The meeting reviewed the roles and responsibilities of the UNISOF & USO Advisory Boards, focusing on maintaining inclusivity, transparency, and scalability within the GHAP-2020 framework. 
  1. Global Collaboration: 
    Leaders discussed the need for harmonizing halal certification standards across borders while adhering to international norms like ISO and Codex Alimentarius. 
  1. Community Engagement: 
    The launch of the Halal International Community Website was highlighted as a centralized platform for knowledge sharing and trade facilitation. 
  1. Advisory Board Development: 
    The Advisory BOD – Global Governance and Consultative & Supervisory Body were further strengthened, along with the Country Community Board, which now represents a diverse set of global stakeholders.
